• Yorkshire 1978
  • Growing up on a Yorkshire farm gave me and my siblings quite a grounded yet adventurous childhood. Yes, there was the difficult weather and lots of chores, but there was also the thrill of living life outdoors. Dressed in jumble-sale cast-offs with haircuts to match, we’d spend countless hours ragging around on motorbikes, making dens in barns, or charging through stubble fields on horseback - only returning home when the light had faded.

  • Thailand 1995
  • By my early twenties I was living in Northern Thailand teaching English to sex workers - still tearing around on motorbikes, with equally dodgy hair, and drinking way too much of the local Thai Whisky. Yet it was here that my passion for photography took hold. Everywhere I looked I saw stories – I just couldn’t get enough of it.

  • Fast forward two decades and I’m a lifestyle photographer / director working out of London, but shooting worldwide. I capture those fleeting moments of real life between people that are so hard to seize.

I work with the trust and support of my amazingly hard-working and dedicated team who help make the orchestrated look completely effortless - no matter how big the set or how challenging the commission.

  • Now able to dress with style (debatable) and still loving motorbikes, I‘m back to living high in the Yorkshire hills, with my family and rat-dog - sneaking in a blast of windsurfing, or even snowboarding, when the conditions allow. And when not shooting commissions, I immerse myself into my many projects - pursuing my utter fascination of what makes people tick.
